Quiet before the storm
Having been a crazed maniac whilst I edited House of Scarabs, this time between sending my manuscript to my editor and receiving it back feels like a holiday. It shouldn't because I have loads to do, not least finish the prequel, Genesis, but somehow I've pulled back on the throttle a little.
So what have I been up to? Aside from house-sitting for my sister whilst she went on her holidays (this meant being the leader of a pack of two Cocker Spaniels and a Rottweiler) I've been doing loads of boring, but necessary, web and online maintenance.
But I did stretch my creative muscles a little to create the cover for Genesis (being revealed here today) and create support advertisements for both House of Scarabs and Genesis. These are the jobs authors have to get involved in when they want to be masters of their own ships.
I'd love to know what you think? Would the advertisements capture your eye if you were browsing your news feed on Facebook? Would the book covers jump out at you on an Amazon page? Let me know in the comments below.
Must dash now as I have a nagging need to write a few thousand words of Genesis. I'm expecting the manuscript of House of Scarabs back any day now and I need to try to get Genesis completed before I dive back into the corrections my editor is suggesting.
Oh, and if you'd like to be notified when House of Scarabs is published hop over to this link and sign up for notifications.
Bye for now...
